8:15PM: Guitarist Paul McCart began playing at age nine, and performing at age thirteen. Five years later he began conservatory training at the University of Akron. His instructors have included David Russell and Jeff Beck.

Mr. McCart holds Bachelor and Master of Guitar Performance Degrees from the University of Akron. He has established himself as a teacher and performer in northeast Ohio and has performed all over the USA.

Paul was a two-time winner of the Tuesday Musical Classical Guitar Competition, and placed second in the 1985 M.T.N.A. Classical Guitar Competition. He was also a prizewinner in the 1989  G.F.A. competition.

Through his occupation as a stagehand Paul has had encounters with the giants of the guitar which has steered his playing in a unique direction.
